Miss Me Yet?
Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth — nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web. But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he’s seen it with his own eyes: There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: “Miss Me Yet?” Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up. Russ h/t Justice McNamara

Reb beat me to the punch. 5:18 a.m.? Am I reading that right?
He’s also got video of the wonderful Pam Geller from Atlas Shrugs on the detestable Joy Behar show.
Reb always beats me to the punch.

Steve at MCT throws us a big ‘ol hat tip. He’s also got HandGate material on Robert Gibbs.
T thinks Gibbsy’s a funny guy and Scratch wants to hold his hand.
Like I said before…BLOG WAR!
Thanks Steve.

Lori misses him too and recognizes, in light of the fact that everything else Obama-related seems to be failing, that the POTUS may have in fact saved or created a burgeoning billboard industry just by being his merry ‘ol self:
It seems as if someone in Minnesota is is feeling that whole absence makes the heart grow fonder thing. Or else they, you know, realize that Obama is a huge failure. Now, if only Minnesota would apologize for that whole Al Franken deal.

Man, I miss that little smirky grin. Too bad Obama didn’t “inherit” that, instead of the lame “I’m super serious” face and nanny finger wagging.
And, in answer to the question, Yes. Yes, I do.
Ditto.

Bob’s right…that is better:

I just watched a video the other day of George W right after 9/11... With the firefighters at Ground Zero, shots of him holding a child who'd lost her father, standing (and crying) with the people of his country...
Can you even imagine Obama doing that? Can you picture him with tears in his eyes as he comforts an American child?
I miss Bush, all right. He did a lot of things wrong, but I never questioned his essential humanity and his real concern for his fellow human beings. He could make up for policy decisions (in my eyes) by being strength and class when it was needed.
I'd like to see one of those damn signs at every mile marker.
