Well good to see Mr. Robinson's moral compass isn't completely faulty.

With Big Hollywood all atwitter at the moral indignation of arresting one of their own on rape, sodomy and fugitive charges, it's nice to see a consistently left-leaning columnist find his moral compass and bash his own for their insanity. I took Mr. Robinson to task before on his race-baiting, so its encouraging to me that he hasn't completely lost his mind.

There's little more to offer on this story that hasn't already been stated. Roman Polanski pleaded guilty to drugging and forcibly raping and sodomizing a 13-year old girl and then fled from justice thirty years ago. He got caught. He deserves whatever punishment is coming to him.

Allah at HotAir hits the nail on the head when he muses that the Left ought to provide us with a "morality metric" whereby we on the Right can judge when a celebrity has squandered his built up genius and can rightly be considered a criminal. Needless to say, Whoopi doesn't think Polanski overstepped his bounds on this one.
