"Waste, Fraud and Abuse" = "Tests, Visits and Procedures"

Quick! Somebody alert the Media!

I'm only kidding. It wouldn't make a difference if you did.

So the CBO finally says what everyone knew in the first place; If ObamaCare needs $500 Billion from Medicare to pay for it, Medicare benefits are getting slashed. The CBO is becoming, if it isn't already, personal non grata to this administration.

We've talked about this before when Madam Speaker talked about "squeezing" Medicare. Think we'll hear from her soon challenging Doug Elmendorf on the facts? Maybe he's "un-American" now too.

I suppose the spin could be to the effect that the "squeezing" will be done to Medicare Advantage, that dastardly private-public 'co-op' expanded by W in 2003 by initially created by Slick Willie in 1997, rather than Medicare proper. But, of course, the private elements of Advantage are what have caused the avalanche of new subscribers, nearly double the number from just 2003.  But instead of learning the lesson that the private sector does everything, including health care, better than the Government, ObamaCare will cut benefits under Advantage a Billion a year for ten years. And we all know it's going to wind up being a whole lot more than that.

Stay tuned for the administration's response to Mr. Elmendorf because it's sure to come. I can only hope its someone new that decides to wade into the discussion and make an ass out of themselves.

Watching Pelosi, Reid, Waxman and Co. do so kind of gets boring after a while.

Come on John Murtha, don't let me down!

Russ
