Rusty Humphries: Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran?

Sarah Palin: I think the public, rightfully, is still making it an issue. I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue ’cause I think there are enough members of the electorate who still want answers.

RH: Do you think it’s a fair question to be looking at?

SP: I think it’s a fair question, just like I think past associations and past voting record — all of that is fair game. You know, I’ve got to tell you, too: I think our campaign, the McCain/Palin campaign didn’t do a good enough job in that area. We didn’t call out Obama and some of his associates on their records and what their beliefs were and perhaps what their future plans were. And I don’t think that that was fair to voters to not have done our jobs as candidates and as a campaign to bring to light a lot of the things that now we’re seeing made manifest in the administration.

RH: I mean, truly, if your past is fair game and your kids are fair game, certainly Obama’s past should be. I mean, we want to treat men and women equally, right?

SP: Hey, you know, that’s a great point, in that weird conspiracy-theory freaky thing that people talk about that Trig isn’t my real son. And a lot of people say, “Well you need to produce his birth certificate! You need to prove that he’s your kid!” Which we have done. But yeah, so maybe we could reverse that and use the same [unintelligible]-type thinking on them.

There's almost 750 comments at HotAir in just under three hours. Aside from the Amnesty Vote, Election night and only a handful of other sensational stories, that's a ridiculous clip.

So the claim, folks, is that Sarah Palin is now a birther...one who believes that Obama was born outside of the United States and, thus, Constitutionally ineligible for the Presidency of the United States. That's not what she said, mind you, but you know as well as I do that it won't matter.

You have, have to go to Dkos and the Huffington Post to witness real, honest-to-goodness insanity in action. I ordinarily wouldn't send you over there, but ladies and gentlemen if you haven't ever seen the depraved lunacy of our comrades on the Left before, this (non) story is absolutely guaranteed to provoke every deranged, unhinged molecule in the liberal's being which will culminate in a veritable orgy of unbridled, Gomorrhean glee.

It really will be something to behold tomorrow. Forget about global warming being completely shattered. Forget about the ongoing health care debate. Forget about Copenhagen, Honduras, Bernanke, Tiger Woods or anything else.

There will only be one (non) story for the next week, at least. This is it.

I've said before that I'm not a birther. I just don't think the evidence is there to really make an issue out of Obama's birthplace. That said, however, I most certainly recognize the oddness of his reluctance to fully release not only his birth certificate, but his college and law school transcripts and a plethora of other, routine disclosures he has thus far failed to divulge. That recognition for me though is simply not enough to sway me into believing that Obama was born anywhere else but Hawaii.

But that's neither here nor there. Sarah Palin will weather this storm just like she's weathered every other concocted, contrived and outright made-up "scandal" the Left has invented to tear her down over the last 18 months. She will do so because she's confident in herself and just isn't intimidated by the liberals hate machine. She's above and beyond it.

Watch the video. Read the transcript and decide for yourself what you think is the truth. I'm sure Sarah herself will post something to Facebook regarding the interview and if she does, we'll post it right here.

If you haven't yet figured it out, the title of this post is intended as a description of the new level of madness into which the Left will plunge themselves with breakneck speed over this (non) story and has nothing to do with Sarah Palin.

Her grace will see to that.

Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask... which they have repeatedly. But at no point – not during the campaign, and not during recent interviews – have I asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States.

My God she's great isn't she.

yes, putting the baby at risk like that if she (0+ / 0-)

was pregnant. but I don't believe for a minute that Trig is her baby. Someone, maybe Levi said Sarah "delivered" Trig - so she could have helped Bristol with the birth and say she "delivered" the baby. Someone on Palingates said Romney has bought off Levi, insurance in case she does look like she'll get the nomination. I imagine we'll hear the full story within the next year.
