Oh Sarah, Sarah, Sarah...
What are you doing to me?
Making me that much more certain-bit by bit and day by day-that, Lord a’mercy, you’re gonna be ready to rumble in 2012.
This is also how leaders are received…with thunderous applause.

PS: I know he’s an actor (kind of) but wach Shatner’s expression at -1:20.
Dude…he knows.

VotingFemale has some good stuff on the contrast between Sarah’s rising media stardom and Obama’s rapidly declining influence.
One huge difference, of course, is that Obama hasn’t learned yet that he won the election and now has to do his freakin’ job. Campaigning when you’re campaigning is one thing, it’s something quite different when 10.2% of the population is out of work, American troops languish in a foreign land without enough support and Congress is raising the debt ceiling to accomodate even more reckless spending.
Not only is Obama’s media star imploding, but as we’re seeing across the Country his star power in terms of usefulness for Democratic politicians is likewise taking a nosedive. He came to New Jersey five times and Chris Christie sill won by seven points. Harry Reid, Chris Dodd and at least a dozen other Democratic politicians are on the ropes in their states and falling fast. Whereas we may have thought a year ago that Obama could swing an election for a fellow Democrat just by showing up, flashing the pearlies and giving us a taste of that oh so suave hip-hop baritone, it’s looking more and more like people actually do care about their jobs and their family’s well-being moreso than a celebutard for a President.
