Whew...what a weekend.

Well, what say you Philadelphia? Would you have traded the Eagles complete dismantling of my Giants for a 2-2 series?

I gather to bet that you would.

Great, great sports weekend all around. And of course, my procrastination meant I had to finish my Army JAG application in the middle of it, which was more difficult than I had anticipated.

The Giants look awful, in every facet of the game: Offense, defense, special teams. They really just got outplayed in every way. I can't diagnose the problem either. Our defense has completely left town, Eli can't put a ball anywhere near a receivers hands and with the exception of Ahmad Bradshaw and Steve Smith, nobody seems to show up on offense either.

I continue to believe that this team has the talent to compete for a championship. They just don't seem to want it right now. Motivation, unfortunately, is more difficult to manufacture than talent. Tom has his work cut out for them but ultimately it resides with each player. Do they want to just cruise to a 9-7 season, collect their checks and take off? Or do they want to get their act together, come to play and get back to the playoffs.

We'll see.
