Understand this folks, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to screw with the Stupak language other than to create a loophole for the ACLU or some other rabid anti-life group to exploit in Court. And don't doubt for a second their teams aren't in the war room right now parsing the language and concocting an "argument".

The question now becomes how serious Stupak was when he said there'd be hell to pay if his language was removed.  I know absolutely nothing about Bart Stupak and have no frame of reference for determining his meddle. I assume we'll find out soon enough.

In any event, the lesson here is that Democrats will do and say anything to get this bill passed including play fast and loose with linguistics on which their friends in the trial law lobby can pounce and have declared unconstitutional by some idiot Circuit judge.
