Glenn Greewald, in all his magnificent stupidity, had this to say about the Ft. Hood Jihadist:

Isn't it fairly clear that the term "terrorism" is being applied to what Hasan did due to his religion rather than the acts themselves?  Put another way, as ThinkProgress' Matt Duss put it:  "the definition of terrorism is not 'any violence by any Muslim anywhere at any time for any reason'."  But that -- along with the repellent claim that saying "Allahu Akbar" is "suggestive of terrorism," rather than suggestive of someone who is Muslim (obviously the same thing in the minds of the people claiming that) -- is exactly what seems to be driving discussions of this attack.  It's likely that there will always be a lack of clarity about exactly what motivated Hasan -- some combination of mental instability, religious fervor and political conviction -- but, regardless of motive, the only way to define an attack on soldiers as an act of "terrorism" is to indict ourselves in the same way.

"Allahu Akbar, let me hold that elevator for you." "Allahu Akbar, excuse me Miss, but I believe you dropped your pen". When was the last time you heard that...I'll wait.

"Allahu Akbar" is the death chant of terrorists. Period. It's not a how-do-you-do. It's not a polite tip of the hat. Muslims scream it when they're about to kill people in the name of Allah. 

That's terrorism Greenwald, you unbelievably twisted little shit. What the hell is wrong with these people?

I'll go you one further people, "terrorism", as that term is used colloquially, can only be applied to members of the Islamic faith because no other single group of individuals, whether based on race, nationality or religion, exhibit the characteristics of a terrorist on so regular a basis. Nobody. Nobody else kills people at such a torrent and feverish pace as believers in the Qu'ran.

Hasan was a terrorist. Period. His mass killing spree was a terrorist act. Period. Unless we get serious about Islamic terrorism fast, and I mean today, more terrorists in United States military uniforms are going to kill more people. That's a fact.
