Glamour's Women of the Year

Notice anything, um, conspicuous about the list?

Now listen, I couldn't care less about what a useless rag like Glamour thinks. I only post this so you see just how far gone the rest of media really are regarding women in politics and beyond. And, Glamour does have a paid subscription base of more than 2 million according to Wikipedia (I know...I know, gimmee a break).

Eight of the 12 women featured have made statements that indicated their support for Barack Obama or had given money to the Democratic Party – the same politician and party that seeks to advance gay rights, allow tax-funded abortions, and nationalize health care. Eight prominent liberals, including Obama, NBC’s Tom Brokaw and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, also lent their time to briefly praise these women in the pages of Glamour’s December issue.

(From CMI)

The point:

Beneath the layers of female empowerment that this list attempted to promote lurked the message that to make an impact, to be a recognized leader among women, also meant supporting the policies and the politicians of the Democratic party, and the fashionable causes of liberal Hollywood.

Glamour failed to understand that conservative women can be role models too. And in a society where diversity is highly prized, the lack of political diversity reflected by who the magazine’s editors chose to honor is truly astounding.

Unfortunately, that's what CMI doesn't understand. Conservative women can't be role models because they're Conservative women. You will never see a list of "influential" or "compelling" women that includes Sarah Palin, Dana Perino, Michelle Bachmann, Michelle Malkin, Marsha Blackburn, etc., etc., etc.

Never.

Young women cannot be permitted to consider Conservative women as role models. There is an established order for feminism in this Country from which none are permitted to deviate. I've written about this in another context, but the problem, basically, is that feminist lies are so entrenched in our society that challenges to the methodology, facts or underlying premises of the philosophy are considered nothing more than sexism from the Patriarchy. It's just racism by another name.

There is as much an agenda behind Glamour's 'Women of the Year' list as there is behind Pelosi's health care bill; they are more or less the same as well. There was a time, long before I was born, when everything wasn't political. Those times, for better or worse, are gone. Glamour's two million readers will see this list, read about the causes and some of them will accept that much of that philosophy is a prerequisite for being a successful, strong woman.

Suffice to say, that's a real goddamn shame.
