Heritage is doing a five-part series this week on the facts about what ObamaCare will cost us.

I'll post each one as they come through.

The plain truth is that it really doesn't matter what anyone says, ObamaCare can do nothing but cost the vast majority of Americans significant amounts of money...one way or another.

There is no new federal revenue stream created, other than taxes, and tens of millions of people will overload the system. Those are the facts. There's no way around them. There is simply no budget-neutral way to pay for this monstrosity and we will all end up paying both in terms of dollars and in quality of care.

Keep it simple. I've noticed recently the trend towards getting into the trees and waxing about the details of each bill as it comes up. This is all well and good, without question, but I implore everyone to always take a step back to look at the forest.

ObamaCare will destroy private insurance, drive up costs, reduce the quality of care and become nothing more than the single largest government bureaucracy once it's all said and done. There is no other way for it turn out. Every previous government intrusion into the market has led to utter disaster. 

The only difference here is that because of its size, it will be exponentially worse.
