The Finishing Touches

With what we hope will be received as a sleeker, more user-friendly look, we've redesigned the site to make it snap.

All of the links are more or less the same.  Our welcome message points you in the direction in which you want to go.  We've consolidated some items (the company you keep into About Us) and eliminated others (Features) to clean up some clutter.

'Our Friends' are all now prominently displayed on the home page and other pages, (like most of the web) down the left side toolbar so you don't have to click through a bunch of pages to find them.  We've got two levels now, the Generals and the Mob.  I suppose there could be room for a mid-level addition in the future, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

How it looks today is how it will look tomorrow and, God willing, into the distant future.

We'd like to thank all of the sites that have honored us with a reciprocal blog roll add and will continue to update our own as we find sites we like.

United we stand dear readers; the larger our networks, the better chance we have of stemming the tide of fascism on the rise in our Country today.  Talk to us about it.  We promise to get back to you.

It's a fight worth fighting and we promise to be in it 'til the end...for better or worse.

The Forum

We're anticipating and welcoming a bloodbath of rhetoric in here.  Uncensored, knock-down, drag-out political verbal warfare.  I'm counting on our side always being the more witty, the more informed and the more civil (to the extent it's possible or desirable) in any dust-up with the dark side.  I'm not going to put any restrictions on user comments whatsoever.

However, anyone who wades into the fray does so with the clear understanding that we can't promise a Vegas style "what happens here stays here" guarantee.  If the black helicopters are circling your neighborhood, keep your mouth shut and get a good lawyer.

But we can promise you that we won't censor the dialogue.  I recognize and can appreciate that other sites do so for their own reasons; most of which are certainly valid and all of which are wholly appropriate as their owner's restrictions on the use of their property.

We're choosing not to for our own reasons.

Come in blazing or don't come at all.

Welcome to the Snakepit.

Site Changes

August 18, 2009

We're tweaking...(and I don't just mean the site).

We realized that most folks who stumble by us already know we're right; those that don't we hope will come to see so without us belaboring the point.  So we removed the qualifier from most of the site to make it easier to navigate and so you don't hate the word after a few visits.

Top Navigation Bar Hover Drop-Down Menus

Is that what you call them?  You'll notice we've condensed and focused our navigation to the top toolbar, so it's there on every page and you can get around the site more easily.  Hovering your cursor over the folders at the top will show you what's in them...like most other quality sites; I'm not patting myself on the back here, just had to figure out how to do it.

The Lighter Side

We're going to start incorporating some comedy, some sports, some local flavor, some weirdness and, yes, even some, (ahem), blue material into our Rapid Fire Rightness thread, courtesy of Silky Johnson.

Don't worry.  I'll let you know everytime one of the posts is a little off-color with a (content warning) disclaimer.  I'll also be keeping the videos in-house and on-site so you won't click on a link and open up something the boss doesn't want to see....or want you to watch.

If you've ever got anything good for us, just send us an email.

Re-posted Articles

I realized that we have a block quote feature.  Good for me.  So you'll notice, on many of the articles we re-post here, a brief section at the top that is indented and written in italics.  This is what I have to say.  As always, please don't attribute my commentary to the original author or site from which the article came.

Left Side Content Bar

We're keeping our options open here.  Special features, perhaps. Events of import.  Joint ventures.  I can't tell you today what will be there tomorrow.  So check back with us often just to see what we're up to...(usually some kind of shenanigans).

Thanks for hanging out with us.  Hope we'll see you again soon.

Russ

What's New

August 12, 2009

We'd like to let you know about our new feature.  In our neverending effort to keep the material on our site fresh, we've added a new feature we call Rapid Fire Rightness-Bringing the PainYou'll find it on the left-side toolbar of every page you visit on the site.  Inspired by the best conservative blog out there, (h/t to HotAir.com), our Rapid Fire links will take you directly to an outside webpage we find particularly interesting, poignant, humorous or amusing.  I'll do my best to keep the one-liners funny or sarcastic, but I'm not promising anything.

We hope to update Rapid Fire at least once every 20 minutes.  Somtimes we'll move faster than that so stop back often.  Comments are open for every link so feel free to tell us what you think...good or bad.

Cheers,

Russ

What's New

August 11, 2009

In an effort to keep new content arriving in an evenflow, we at That's Right will be regularly highlighting articles from different authors that we feel are important or newsworthy to the day's events. Each article will contain a "reference" tag on our main page with the source link and other details about the original article. Also, the page on which the article is archived will contain a direct link to the article's source page as well. The original author of every article we repost will be fully accredited.

Occasionally, readers will notice commentary written in italic font. Italic font indicates that the commentary is my own and not the work of the original author. Any commentary will be clearly separated from the article so as not to be confusing. Any commentary should likewise not be attributed to the original author.

As recent events have undeniably indicated that we of the Conservative stripe are all in this together, we at That's Right feel that it is important to create the most comprehensive network of information possible to best offer our readers the fullest picture of the intellectual philosophy to which we ascribe and that on which we believe America was founded.

So enjoy. And please support the sites hosting those articles we borrow. Come back soon.
